Being A Woman in 2024

Women have come a long way! Women have had to be firm and stand tall to be acknowledged; working 10x harder. Even though it is in motion and there is some change, it can still be disheartening to have to deal with matters of inequality, discrimination against women, and so many unrealistic expectations in 2024.

ASMR Triggers

ASMR is subjective experience of “low-grade euphoria” characterized by a combination of positive feelings, relaxation, and a distinct static-like tingling sensation on the skin. It is most commonly triggered by specific auditory or visual stimuli, called “triggers”. Here, a few relaxing ASMR auditory triggers are compiled and shared.

Belonging

We all want to belong somewhere, to someone, and sometimes we do not understand why. Essentially, it is because it contributes significantly to our self-concept, sense of meaning and purpose. An episode was recorded for those who do not have time to read the blog post. Take time time to reflect on your sense of belonging.

Educate and Empower with your Lived Experience – Mental Health Edition

RQ Psych appreciates one’s journey to self and wellbeing and contributes to such a journey through psychological services, such as psychotherapy. One other way RQ Psych looks to contribute to one’s journey is by sharing psychoeducational content in a relatable, palatable manner.

If you would like to be featured on one of the RQ Psych’s platforms, sharing a lived experience of living with a mental/psychiatric disorder/supporting someone with such an experience, perhaps even your journey of trying to make sense of your mental health, and believe it could be educational, as well as eradicate stigma, write a short essay to info@revelationsquestpsychology.com about your experience and we will get back to you ASAP!

Buy A RSC Product!

RQ Psych has an amazing, self-care brand, Repa Self-Care (RSC) that appreciates that one has to take care of self first in order to function optimally in other domains.

RSC was founded in 2021, as a holistic self-care brand, contributing to clients’ self-love journey by making available to them affordable, luxurious self-care products for daily use. The process is likened to writing a love letter to self.

Previous catalogue included various aromatherapeutic products, such as different scented candles, scented prayer candles, aromatherapeutic soaking bath salts, incense sticks, and gift-or-self-care packages.

While some products are discontinued for the time being, aromatherapeutic candles and soaking bath salts are back, and ready for sale. Other aromatherapeutic self-care products coming soon!

Message To All The Women!

We hope your women’s month was filled with empathy, sensitivity, serenity, healing and/or progress. Not only from your loved one’s but mainly from yourself. We hope you realised that there is no need to be a rock. A rock is hard and does not respond when the environment is harsh to it, but with enough pressure/force applied to it, it retaliates and hurts the environment. No need to be an egg either. It is still hard on the outside, and the environment is usually cautious with it, not knowing how to handle it best. A marshmallow is more befitting. Soft inside-and-out. What you see is what you get. It elicits softness from its environment. You poke it, you see a dent. So, the environment becomes softer in return. This is to say, the environment will choose how to perceive and engage with you based on how you present and engage with self. If you present as a human being, with healthy boundaries, self-compassion and vision/direction, the environment will adapt, and will engage with you in the same way. We hope you are proud of your journey thus far! If not, it is not too late to embark on a new journey or take a different direction!
