RQ Psych Newsletter – April 2025

Fellow R-Questers!

We know, we know… the April newsletter is quite late! Apologies for that! April was a very short, but long month, especially with all of the holidays. So, we got a little carried away. Do not despair, we are back! Back with more updates on what to expect in the new month of May so that we can all plan ahead timeously. Please book for your May appointments now…

RQ Psych Founder & Principal Psychologist, Thato Nchoe-Giliana, celebrated her birthday in April!

Practice Updates

There are a few things that we all have to be mindful of in the month of May, and moving forward. Look below…

No New Clients for Kgomotso (Clin. Psychologist)

Ms. Kgomotso Siwelane joined the RQ Psych team in 2024 to help with clientele load. She has done an exceptional job! With her own private practice thriving in Pretoria, and Thato (RQ Psych) making a full return, Kgomotso will no longer be taking on any new clients for the time being. However, she will still continue with her existing RQ Psych clientele. Arrangements with existing clientele will be communicated directly.

More Virtual Sessions!

We have heard some of your cries and we are heeding the call. RQ Psych will now accept more virtual sessions for psychotherapy (mainly individual sessions with adults), with Wednesdays being days for such consultations. We look forward to connecting with you guys!

At Capacity for Child/Play Therapy

RQ Psych is currently at full capacity for minor clients and will not be taking on any new children as clients for the time being. These include children between 3-15 years old. It is our responsibility to ensure that we have capacity to offer quality psychological services and we, at RQ Psych, do not want to jeopardise that. We will communicate when we are ready again!

Upcoming Psychoeducational/Empowerment Event!

Rivisi wa Manzani, an empowerment brand by Mr Amen Rikhotso, is celebrating 1 year of empowerment. The brand typically organises seminars that are centred around living a healthy, fulfilled life, as well as navigating relationships! On the 20th of September 2025 (Saturday) is the 1-Year Gala Dinner Celebration with empowering conversations and experiences. Come…

  • Ms. Masego Kunupi (MC)

  • Dr. Clementine Chawane (Topic: Women on Top)

Our Principal Psychologist will be speaking…

We all have felt like we have somewhat lost ourselves in some of the relationships we find ourselves in and the roles we play. Getting too preoccupied or consumed by all this is not healthy, and during this event, we will try figure out how to navigate relationships in a healthy way, without forgetting about the vessel, ourselves!
